Paul Forster is a writer, artist, & veteran high school English teacher in Santa Barbara, California. An Alumni of UC Santa Cruz’s fabled Birth of a Poet class (a Jungian dream journey taught by William Eversen) and a  dedicated isha yogi and seeker for all things spiritual, he brings a sense of informed wit to all his writing and a secret impish wish to disrupt the ordinary.  He is endlessly inspired by the dedication of the educators around him and the open creative explosion that is the teenage mind.

He was recently awarded “Academic Teacher of the Year” by the SBHS  MAD Academy at their annual gala.

When he’s not teaching,  he is watering his plants, writing, going to yoga, working on projects, he is camping in the wilderness and communing with nature in backpacking trips or traveling on summer trekking adventures in India, Tebet or Bali. He is proud dad of an amazing daughter, Annabelle.
